What Four Mile Creek Greenway is like
Four Mile Creek reads differently from McAlpine. It is newer, wider in places, and carries more family traffic — strollers, training wheels, and walkers rather than serious distance runners. The boardwalk sections over the wetland are the reason people drive past a closer trail to use this one.
The southern end anchors at Elon Park, which gives the trail something most greenways lack: real parking, restrooms, and playgrounds at a trailhead. That combination makes it the easiest greenway to use with small children, and the most forgiving if a walk needs to end early.
